Dr. Johanna Mauss is a dedicated Naturopathic Doctor with over 10 years of clinical experience. She emphasizes a collaborative relationship with patients to create personalized treatment plans, empowering them through education and creating a partnership for wellness. Dr. Mauss specializes in integrative and functional medicine focusing on women’s health, endocrine disorders (thyroid, adrenals, sex hormones), chronic digestive conditions, chronic illness including Lyme disease and other tick-borne pathogens, mold related illness, autoimmunity, and toxic burden. She is currently practicing remotely via telemedicine with patients within the state of New Hampshire.
Dr. Mauss grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. She attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, earning a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Human Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Concurrently, she became and served as a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly known as Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine). She then completed a post-graduate residency in Naturopathic Family Practice at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Tempe, Arizona. Since completion of her residency she has attended numerous post-doctorate trainings. Dr. Mauss completed a two-year mentorship specific to mold-related chronic illness under Neil Nathan, MD, and holds Dr. Jill Crista's mold literate practitioner certifications. She has been with Vibrant Health since 2017 during which time she has contributed to the training of multiple naturopathic residents. Dr. Mauss is an active member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NHAND).
Her treatment modalities include diet and lifestyle modification, targeted nutraceutical supplements, pharmaceuticals, BHRT, botanical (herbal) medicine, and IV therapy. Dr. Mauss is dedicated to improving the quality of life for her patients through preventative care and education, and is licensed to practice naturopathic medicine and acupuncture in the state of New Hampshire.
